Jackson Sleep Challenge - A Well Rested Success!

Throughout the month of April we challenged our school community to improve their sleep habits. Well rested kids leads to happy learners! We are happy to report that 99 Jackson students successfully completed the Challenge! For the whole month they committed to sleeping at least 9 hours each night - well done! 

Each Sleep Challenge Champion was able to choose a new book for their home collection!

PAC Raffle!

Our AMAZING Jackson PAC have been busy - our school looks incredible, and is the happiest carnival in town, and they have organized their fantastic annual Raffle. While we can't have our Fun Fair this year, we can still have some fun! All money raised through the raffle will be used for student programming - field trips, presentations, roller blading, and hopefully more post-pandemic fun! There are many great prizes to be won!

Public Speaking

Congratulations to our grade 4 and 5 classes who all competed in a public speaking event before Spring Break.  The top 10 finishers pressented "in the gym" this week. Everyone did a great job! 

The finalists for Grade 4 were: Timothy, Veer, Kainat, Arya, and Taevyn. Congratulations to Veer who was the overall winner in grade 4.
The finalists for Grade 5 were: Manha, Manreet, Abhijot, Rohan and Aikam. Congratulations to Abhijot who what the overall winner in grade 5.

28 Day Challenge Finishers!

Congratulations! We had 118 students and their families' and 22 staff and their families' finish our very first 28 Day Challenge!

In partnership with Child and Youth Mental Health, the following sessions are being offered for all parents and caregivers in the Abbotsford School District. They are all free of charge and will be offered through a virtual platform

Enhanced safety measures for K-12 schools

Enhanced safety measures and $121.2 million in federal funding are on the way, as the Province continues to strengthen health and safety plans in K-12 schools to keep students, teachers and staff safe during the pandemic.

All middle and secondary students and K-12 staff will now be required to wear non-medical masks in all indoor areas, including when they are with their learning groups. The only exceptions are when:
